NEW Multicrusher Ocean
The Multicrusher Ocean was presented to the USA market at the Pacific Marine Expo 2014
Last week Boerger exhibited at the Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle, WA. Boerger had a very successful show with many customers interested in the new Multicrusher Ocean. The Multicrusher Ocean was designed to macerate organic ship waste to the required size needed to dispose of on the high seas. On January 1, 2013 the revised annex V of the MARPOL convention for the prevention of pollution by garbage from ships entered into force. According to the annex, the discharge of all garbage into the sea is prohibited. However, comminuted food wastes capable of passing through a screen with opening no larger than .98 inches (25mm) is allowed to be discharged. The Multicrusher Ocean allows shipping companies to their cut costs of storing food and kitchen waste onboard by meeting the particle size required of the MARPOL V convention.
