BÖRGER ROTARY LOBE PUMPS
THE VERSATILE MOBILE PUMP
Frequently, situations arise, in which a mobile pump is
re quired. Thanks to its compact design, the chemical re-
sis tance and the self-priming operation, the Börger rotary
lobe pump is ideally suited for this application. Mobile
pumps are versatile and very often indispensable.
Each Börger rotary lobe pump is configured for its specific application using
a modular principle. This also applies to the mobile pumps. In this respect,
Börger delivers everything from a single source. The entire unit is designed
and manufactured for the corresponding application, including the mobile
unit, the pump technology and the control unit.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Rotary lobe pumps are self-priming, valveless, positive displacement
pumps. The synchronized rotation of the rotor pair creates a vacuum on
the priming side of the pump. This vacuum draws the liquid into the pump
chamber. The medium is pumped into the pressure area due to the rotation
of the rotors. If the direction of rotation is changed, the flow is reversed.
CONSTRUCTION
1
The quick-release cover
Access to all wetted parts by simply
loosening four ring nuts.
2
The rotors
Large selection of high-quality rotors
for almost pulsation-free pumping of
the medium.
3
The casing protection
Depending on its size, the BLUEline
pump is available with and completely
without protection plates and liners.
When pumping abrasive media con-
taining solids, the protection plates
and liners protect the pump casing
from wear and can be replaced in a
matter of minutes.
4
Intermediate chamber and
shaft seal
The large-volume quench chamber
is oil-filled and ensures the highest
degree of safety. The ideal mechanical
seal is selected depending on the
medium.
5
The carrier and timing gear
The high-quality and maintenance-
free carrier and timing gear guaran-
tees a smooth and even operation of
the rotors. The result is a long service
life of the pump.

MOBILE PUMP UNITS
There are hardly any limits when designing a mobile pump. Depending
on the requirements, the mobile pump is constructed as a hand cart
pump, a portable pump, on a trailer, for transport with a forklift truck or
with a three-point mounting.

EASY HANDLING
THE FLEXIBLE HAND CART PUMP
Hand cart pumps can be pushed very easily to different
application sites without any additional auxiliary means
and are ready for use right away.
Whether on two or four wheels, in ATEX- or TA Luft-compliant design,
whether with control technology or frequency converter – with the wide
range of equipment and additional parts, Börger is able to build hand cart
pumps optimally suited for almost any application.

The rotary lobe pump
The powerful rotary lobe pump is de-
signed and manufactured individually
to suit your application.
2
Direct drive coupling
The electric motor is coupled directly
to the cylindrical pump shaft by me-
ans of a hollow shaft.
3
The motor
The pump is driven by an electrical
parallel shaft helical gear motor.
Upon request, the motor can be
equipped with a frequency converter.
4
The chassis
The pump is installed on a chassis
made of stainless steel. Thanks to
the four solid-rubber tires the pump
is very easy to move. By slightly
pressing down the pushing device, the
pump can be steered very easily.
5
The crane lugs
The crane lugs facilitate easy loading
and unloading of the pump.

FOR TERRAIN WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO ACCESS
THE PORTABLE MOBILE PUMP
Börger has developed the portable mobile pump especially
for use in areas which are difficult to access. This solids-
resis tant pump is designed such that the pump including the
drive can be carried to the corresponding area of application.
The portable pump is built in such a compact way that the pump including the
drive can be transported in the storage compartment of an emergency vehicle,
on a truck bed or in a car trunk. Despite its small size, the pump covers flow
rate ranges of up to 30 m³/h.
Börger rotary lobe pumps are able to pump in slurp operation and are suitable
for cleaning up residual liquids or removing oil or similar substances from
water surfaces.
