The Variocap is installed on the pump instead of the quick-release cover.
As soon as the pressure in the pump chamber exceeds a specified maximum pressure, the Variocap opens and the pumped medium can flow back from the pressure to the suction side. The pressure is equalized.
When the pressure in the pump chamber decreases below the defined limit, the Variocap closes again.
