The components of a sugmerged resp. semi-submerged pump
In the case of the submerged pump, the pump and the drive are submerged while only the pump is submerged in the case of the semi-submerged pump. The drive of the semi-submerged pump remains outside the fluid to be pumped.
The components of a submerged pump
- Submerged drive
- Guide rods | These rods serve the lowering and pulling up of the pump.
- Riser/pressure pipe | This conveys the medium upwards.
- Lock flange | The flange is locked in place. The pump is lowered and inserted into the lock flange. No screw connections needed.
The components of the semi-submerged pump
- Drive outside the medium
- Installation cover | Dome cover
- Coupling enclosed by coupling guard tube (long shaft connection)
- Riser/pressure pipe | This conveys the medium upwards.
- Extension pipe for filling the intermediate chamber and the drive
