Leachate

A landfill leachate treatment plant had persistent problems with solids in the leachate. Following a detailed investigation, it became obvious that just a mechanical destruction of the agglomerates would ensure trouble-free system operation. During a test phase of several months, it became obvious that a Börger Multichopper chopped the agglomerates so efficiently that no agglomeration occurred in the membrane filtration system any more. The customer decided to install the macerator permanently. Due to the minimum space requirements of the Multichopper an integration into the pipeline system of the plant was easily possible.
