13 ONIXline pumps for conveying paint components
These 13 ONIXline rotary lobe pumps will be delivered to a paint manufacturer in the next few days where they will be used to convey various paint components.
Due to the high viscosity of up to 100,000 mPas the pumps are installed turned 90°. This ensures optimal conveyance.
The casing protection made of stainless steel protects the stainless steel casing against the abrasive components in the pumped medium.
The stainless steel rotors with screw profile pump the fluids very gently and almost without pulsation. All pumps are equipped with Börger DA mechanical seals. The double-acting mechanical seals are pressurized by means of a thermosiphon system.
Due to the very demanding pumped media, numerous tests were carried out at the Börger pump test stand in advance. The paint manufacturer provided several fluid samples for this purpose. The tests went very well, and an optimal solution was developed together with the customer.
